About the event
It's been a rough... well, we'll just leave it at "rough". You deserve to be able to defend yourself when times get rough. Especially now for our LGBTQIA+ community. We love to learn, so this is the perfect opportunity to swap knowledge!
Here's the breakdown:
This self defense seminar will be taught by our chief instructor, Sensei Ryan Sickles, who has 20+ years of experience in various martial arts forms. He will demonstrate simple and general, but effective, self defense techniques. We'll take a few minutes for participants to practice the techniques on each other while Sensei goes around to adjust, correct, and refine your skills. Then, we'll open the floor to a Q&A style application of how to use the techniques in real life situations. We love making Sensei think on his feet!
